Is a wanderer in spirit.
Ore had never been one to stay in any one place for more than a few days. Wanderlust ran through his veins just as strongly as it had when he was alive; the desire to explore, to stick his nose into every crack and crevice in the valley and see what happened. His death hadn't really obstructed this; rather, it had heightened it. He could go so many more places, now, unburdened by mortal boundaries.
And so he went. Loping across fields and over mountains, he didn't bother to turn himself invisible. It wasn't like he would be seen, let alone spoken to, with his dirty, worn pelt and scruffy appearance. He was a thoroughly unintresting wolf, and so he ran, quietly minding his own buisness as he explored.
It was so odd, to run and run and not have to breathe. To be hungry and unable to fill oneself, to be cold and unable to feel the sun on one's back. He would almost give anything to feel pain again, how strange it was without mortal joys and suffering. He shook it off with a soundless sigh, phasing into invisibility just for the sake of it. He was coming into the territory of the earth queen, now, and didn't want to be recognized as the Spirit lord. All he wanted was to explore.
He shook his head with a snarl, grumpy. How could he have forgotten? She would notice him, invisible or not. Earth could do that. He harrumphed bitterly, slinking along the ground like the old, prickly grouch he was. Trust no one and you'll never get hurt. That was what he always told himself, and he adhered to it now. Auds flicked back, mouth set in a permanent pout as his fierce yellow-green eyes leered out into the fog. What dismal weather. The mist swirled around his feet as he walked, not because he had any physical substance, but because he made it do so. Why? Because he felt like it. Because he wanted to.
Because he wanted to feel again.
