Which one of those elements is she?
The dappled femme nodded curiously towards a rock, jumping over it with as much dignity as she could possibly muster. She snorted, frowning. Something about this valley seemed.. Different, different from the regular type of scenery she was used to seeing. The fields this years were packed with the most snow she could've imagined; her silver-tinted legs had trouble moving fast in them. The snow was about 2 feet high, her, Moonfire, being around 10.2 at the whithers. She breathed a sigh of resentment, then stepped forward into the neverending possibilities infront of her. An idea then struck her mind - why not just use her wings? Oh, but she'd get tired eventually. No worries.
Moonfire spread her black-tinted wings with slight ease within the midst of all the snow, struggling to find a place to take off. The mare galloped forth with as much power she could muster, waiting for that familiar feel of nothingness under her blackened daggers.
And then it came.
She was off the ground within a few seconds, and she let out a shrill whinny to express her pleasure. She floated around leisurely in the air for about 10 minutes, until a wave of physical exhaustion took her. Scanning the island, she found a gigantic rock, landing on it gratefully. Rock, I ask if I can stand upon you. She said to the rock, being answered with a satisfied 'rowl'. Grinning gratefully to herself, the femme lay down, folding her inked wings around her tiny figure. Before resting she let out a long whinny, fairly desperate for one to come, to come and claim her.

A striking day, it was, and Soara was not one to miss out.
She nickered playfully and moved from a canter into a gallop, her mane whipping out behind her as the snow flew from her hooves. She leapt forwards, spreading her wings and taking to the air for just a few moments, soaring for a fleeting second before pounding down to the snowy earth once more.
Her eyes danced with a cheery light as she played in the snow, making the most of the rare occasion that was peace. War had taken it's toll on the valley, and it was not often one had the chance to wipe away a frown in favour of a grin.
And what was this? The light did not leave her eyes as she pranced, but now her attention was focused less on her spirited dance. A form in the distance was what she now pondered, an equine of pegasus heritage like her. Intrigued, Soara approached, a bemused smile dancing across her face. As she drew nearer, her prance slowed to a brisk walk, then to a casual one. She nodded at the creature afore her, a respectful distance away.
A greeting, creature of flight. What name dost thou take, my lady? She began kindly, a smile dancing across her face. [/right]

The two did not go unwatched. Down upon the other side of the gigantic rocky precipice, stood the easily seen Lord of Fire, his di-colored eyes watching upwards, burning like black coals within their pupils. He was out of his element within the snow, steam rose around him wherever he went, melting the white substance right below his feet into hot puddles which rose and evaporated. White legs almost matched the snow, however his brilliant red bodice glowed brightly in contrast.
Blaze didn't fear himself to be spotted out, more rather, he liked his presence to be known. He had seen the feathered pony rest upon the rock on his daily scout for new recruits, and was on his way to introduce himself, when another flew overhead. Slightly irritating, but all the more fun, Blaze took his time coming forth, figuring two mares must be better than one. Unknownst to him the power invested within one of them.

A starlit-maw nodded kindly towards the ebony femme who approached her, fluttering her wings proudly. She arched her neck to look upon the Sky femme, grinning. 'Lo there, m'lady. I am Moonfire, and I am of unknown alliance.. She paused, looking towards the brute on the cliff beside them. ..Meaning that whoever brings me into their lands is the alliance I shall become. She whickered, her silver orbs darting to the blaze-stricken stallion on the cliffs above. If he didn't want to approach her just yet, that was ok - though if he held back much longer, her decision with the Lady of the Sky might increase. Moonfire's dappled maw turned to look towards the bright sunlight shining over them, the white fluff laying innocently around the rock. Moonfire was able to talk to snow; she was just not in the mood to do it now.

A bemused smile dance across Soara's face at the femme's response. Moonfire - a fitting name for one so small? Suggestive of strength unspoken, hidden within? Or a mere bluff, to give a false impression of power and grace? Soara was on the smaller side herself, (for a clydesdale,) and so felt a bit of an affinity with this one. Moonfire, eh? Well then... And 'lo to thee, Moonfire of element undefined. she replied, a warm glint in her eye that so often was quelled with thoughts of her past, yet today shone brightly. Often am I known by many names, yet I myself take none but Soara. Unlike thee, of loyalty yet unpromised, I be of the skies. Although, and now the light in her orbs flared Not the first time it would be, if thou were to find that fire ran in mine veins. Indeed, it would not be the first time, as Soara herself was not unaware of her dragon parentage.
A soft pad in the snow caught her attention and flutes flicked back at the sound of hoofbeats. Gaze turned and lingered bemusedly on a firestained stag, approaching them with a gaze that yeilded no emotions. Unaware of Comanche's rise in power and the one that now took his place, a slight nod was her only greeting, followed by a slight smile. Tail tossed in the wind as she stood in the siver snow and waited for the next action - from either creature.

((Well, Blaze has quit the site, so.. You're the only one left, Soara. You can claim me in the next post, if you wish.)) Moonfire dipped her dial low in acknowledgement, playfully butting Soara with her petite head. Here she was, Moonfire, of the element undefined, in accompany with Soara - was she of two elements, or mostly the Sky or Flame? So you are of both the Sky and Fire alligiance? Or mostly the Skies, or mostly the Fire? They both sound quite interesting. Moonfire commented, trotting off across the snow to seek the stallion who was once on the cliff. She whickered sadly as he left, turning to face Soara once more. Her blackened tassles swayed gently in the breeze, small daggers pinching the snow-laden ground below her. Spring was near, and the snow was to soon be gone - gone until it was winter yet again.

With a start, soara noticed that the other one had left, evidently leaving her alone with the mare. She nodded at her next question, replying that sky was the only place she would ever go. With those words, a bond was made, and Soara smiled. Moonfire was now of the sky, and she would be surprised to find that she could now levitate for any length of time. Shall we go? She asked, and with a nod, took to the sky. This time she levitated, wondering if Moonfire would try the same. She made her way to the plateau with a smile, the newly-appointed sky mare following.
